Traumatic Stress Relief Team: Healing in the Midst of Chaos

This workshop will prepare energy practitioners to work confidently, effectively and efficiently with traumatized populations. It will educate participants on the body’s natural response to traumatic stress, teach simple interventions to interrupt the traumatic stress continuum and restore a felt sense of safety in the body. Participants will learn how a team approach that integrates the use of multiple modalities can deepen and enhance healing in people who have had overwhelming experiences.
Kathy Allan Kathy Allan RN is a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and uses this natural, body-based energetic approach to treat clients who have suffered from Post Traumatic Stress. She is a Board Certified Holistic Nurse and has been a Healing Touch Instructor since 1995. She started two popular Healing Touch Clinics in San Diego and two Healing Touch Clinics in New Mexico. She served on the faculty of Beyond Ordinary Nursing where she taught Integrative Imagery, a form of imagery that allows the client to dialogue with their images and receive guidance from their inner wisdom. Her article “Post Traumatic Stress: A Basic Guide for Re-Establishing Safety” was published in the Nov 2007 issue of Energy Magazine.
Intuition Development: Practical Applications for Working with Humans and Animals

This workshop will assist participants in bridging science and spirit as it relates to intuition development and animal communication. Activities including discussion and experiential components will help translate esoteric concepts into practical applications. There will be practice sessions for various types of intuitive development, including telepathic communication with animals. Establishing clear communications with our animal friends flows naturally from intuition development. This workshop is educational, empowering and FUN!
Denise Anthes has been practicing holistic nursing for 35 years. She ‘discovered’ energy medicine while working in Neonatal ICU in the 1980s. The impact of this powerful component of human healing was immediate. As her healing skills developed, so did her awareness and understanding of intuition.
Denise currently works in an Integrative Healthcare unit of the premiere hospital system in Western North Carolina. She teaches Level 1 & 2 Healing Touch classes and acts as a HT mentor and community leader.
Denise teaches a variety of local, regional and national audiences. Speaking engagement topics include energy medicine, Healing Touch, Neonatal ICU, animal-human relationships, and animal communication. Denise has presented for the AHNA Conference, HTP Worldwide Conference and Pesi Healthcare. Joel P. Bowman, Ph.D. is a Professor Emeritus, Department of Business Information Systems, Haworth College of Business, Western Michigan University. Bowman has conducted hundreds of workshops and seminars. He taught communication skills at the university level for more than 30 years in a variety of formats, including traditional classroom, seminar style, video-based teleclasses, and computer-based instruction. He is the author or co-author of 14 books and workbooks and numerous articles in refereed journals. He is a Licensed Master-Practitioner and Trainer of Neurolinguistic Programming and licensed trainer of hypnotherapy. He is a co-developer of SCS Matters, LLC and maintains the Website and oversees online learning for SCS (www.scs-matters.com).His therapeutic experience includes direct client interventions in the following areas: Behavior modification; Relief of physical or emotional pain and psychological distress; and Pre- and post-operative visualization for faster healing.

One of her goals is to empower all Healing Touch students and practitioners with the ability to provide conceptually clear explanations of the scientific basis behind energy healing to help facilitate mainstream acceptance of Healing Touch. Energy Psychology and HT Resources for Client Trauma Relief
