Walle Adams-Gerdts, RN, BA, HTCP/I is the coordinator for the Healing Touch Program at  Nemours/Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. In 2007, Adams-Gerdts developed and submitted a business plan for this integrative therapy in the hospital. Her pioneering spirit and endless energy earned her the hospital's Image of Nursing 2009 award, the 2009 Delaware Acute Care Nurse of the Year award, and acknowledgment as one of five finalists in the Acute Care category in the 2010 Nursing Spectrum Awards for the Tri-state area of DE/MD/PA.
