Successful completion of Level 6 allows one to apply for certification as a Level 1 Instructor. To apply for certification as a Level 1 Instructor, fill out and submit the certification application. Click here to download the Instructor Certification Application.

Application Fees for Instructor Certification and Renewal:

• Level 1 Instructor Certification - $150.00 (Effective 4/1/2010. Old applications will be accepted until May 1, 2010.)
• Instructor Renewal - $125 (Effective 4/1/2010. Old applications will be accepted until May 1, 2010.)

Renewal Application - Healing Touch Certified Instructors (HTCI)

Renewal of the credentials for certification is on timeline of every five years. This process requires submittal of the Healing Touch Instructor Renewal Application before the five year renewal deadline date. This applies to those who have grandfathered as well.

Renewal packets should be sent in at least 30 days prior to the renewal date.

Choices for Instructor/Practitioner Renewal

We recognize that all certified Instructors are also certified Practitioners. Instructors have the choice of renewing both their practitioner certification and instructor certification at the same time using one application - the Instructor Certification Renewal Application. The criteria in the Practitioner Certification Renewal are included in the Instructor Certification Renewal. Consequently, the Instructor Renewal Application may be used to renew both certifications at the same time.

How does this work?
The Instructor Certification Renewal Application can be used to cover both the Instructor & Practitioner Certification Renewal.

• The renewal application should be submitted 30 days prior to the certification date that is due first. (See Scenarios below.) The application will be processed as indicated in the application packet.
• One renewal application fee of $125 needs to be sent with the application.
• Practitioner Renewal and Instructor Renewal certificates will be issued at the same time based on approval of the Healing Touch Certification Review Panel. Future certification renewal for both practitioner and instructor certification will then occur on the same date, 5 years from the date of instructor/practitioner renewal.

As an Instructor, must you use this new renewal process?
No - This is an optional choice. You may continue to submit separate renewal packets if you desire.

Scenario 1
An Instructor who has been teaching for 3 years and her/his practitioner certification renewal is due may renew both his/her instructor and practitioner certification using the Instructor Certification Renewal Application. Example: Practitioner Certification Renewal due September 2008 and Instructor Certification Renewal due May 2010. may renew both certification by September, 2008. Requirement 1 for Instructor Renewal, "Record of Healing Touch Classes Taught" will be prorated to one class per year of teaching - a minimum of three (3) classes taught. All other requirements will stay the same. This will put the instructor on a new 5 year renewal schedule for both certifications.

Scenario 2
An Instructor who has been teaching for several years has a practitioner renewal date of May 2008 and an instructor renewal date of June 2009, may renew both certifications by May 2008 using the Instructor Certification Renewal Application. Requirement 1 for Instructor Renewal, "Record of Healing Touch Classes Taught" will be prorated to one class per year of teaching since the last instructor renewal date. All other requirements will stay the same. This will put the instructor on a new 5 year renewal schedule for both certifications.

Scenario 3
An Instructor who has an instructor renewal date of June 2008 and a practitioner renewal date of November 2008 may renew both certifications by June 2008 using the Instructor Certification Renewal Application. Requirement 1 for Instructor Renewal, "Record of Healing Touch Classes Taught" will be as it reads in the packet - a minimum of 5 HT classes taught. All other requirements will stay the same. This will put the instructor on a new 5 year renewal schedule for both certifications.

How to be Grandfather/mothered with Healing Touch Program as an Instructor

Existing certified Instructors should send the following to HTP:

1. A signed addendum to your Instructor Agreement (HTP-006-A)
2. A copy of your current Instructor certification or renewal certification status
3. A copy of your current Certified Healing Touch Practitioner certification or re-certification status
4. Submit a $50.00 application processing fee

You will receive a letter and certificate acknowledging your credential of Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP) and Healing Touch Certified Instructor (HTCI).
