The Healing Touch Program is an international, multi-level educational program in energy based medicine therapy. The Healing Touch Program™ curriculum progresses from beginning to advanced practice. As a professionally accredited program, the curriculum encompasses increasing levels of practice and techniques, standards of care, code of ethics and scope of practice. Healing Touch is endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association and the Canadian Holistic Nurses Association (CHNA). Practitioners and Instructors are certified through an independent certification process. When one completes the Healing Touch Program (after Level 5), they may apply for certification. Healing Certified Touch Practitioners are recognized internationally as having achieved a professional level of energetic therapy competence.

Level 1 begins with 16 or more clock hours of instruction that allows persons with varying background to enter, acknowledge their previous learnings, and further develop concepts and skills in energy based therapy. A strong commitment to personal growth and knowledge of holistic health principles are required.

Level 2 consists of 16 or more clock hours of instruction each that allows the participant to gain specific skills necessary for more advanced practice. Emphasis is on deepening skills, developing healing sequences for specific client needs, learning back and neck techniques, and gaining skills in therapeutic interactions.

This class focuses on your development as a healer through self-care and pre-session practices. Utilizing these concepts you will also be introduced to several new techniques that will continue to expand your understanding of the human energy field and how it manifests in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

Completion, Celebration & Commitment!

Level 5 is a time of completion, celebration and commitment to continued progress and excellence. Assignments which were completed during the apprenticeship period are submitted and evaluated for course completion. This session is designed to acknowledge the student’s work and offer constructive suggestions for continued improvement.

Level 6 is the instructor training for the Certified Healing Touch Practitioner who wishes to become a Healing Touch Certified Instructor Level 1. The emphasis is on group dynamics, setting up programs, principles and methods of teaching and learning. All instructors meet annually to advance skills, network and develop activities pertinent in the work of Healing Touch.

Healing Touch Certification Board administers certification through a separate review using standardized criteria. Certification acknowledges learning experiences and demonstration of competence as a Healing Touch Practitioner. The Certification Board does not license the practice of an individual nor assumes any legal responsibility for her/his practice.

Healing Touch Practitioner Certification

Certification as a Healing Touch Practitioner is open to all students who have satisfactorily completed Levels 1-5 of the Healing Touch Program (HTP) coursework and received a Certificate of Course Completion. Certification is an appropriate goal for all who wish to establish a Healing Touch practice, or incorporate Healing Touch as a focus within an existing practice.

Successful completion of Level 6 allows one to apply for certification as a Level 1 Instructor.

All Healing Touch Program Level 5 students must be in an active mentorship process with a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner for at least three months prior to attending Level 5. This Supervised Mentorship experience is discussed thoroughly during the Level 4 class.

All practitioners who have completed Level 5 and received a Certificate of Course Completion may choose to apply for certification. The certification criteria requires one full year of Supervised Mentorship. This period includes the Supervised Mentorship between Levels 4 and 5.

Healing Touch and Principles of Hypnosis is a course of study designed for Healing Touch Practitioners who desire to enhance their skills related to working with altered states of consciousness during Healing Touch sessions. The focus is on "Words That Enhance Healing".

This course is for the beginning and advanced Healing Touch Practitioner who is interested in refining their therapeutic communication skills and in recognizing the energetic patterns of interactions.

My Helpful Healing Touch instructor training was designed and created for those who want to teach Healing Touch to for children, ages 6 to 12. The training tele-seminar is based on the book, My Helpful Healing Touch, a Guide for Empowering Children. The instructors are; Cynthia Hutchison, HTP Program Director and Lynn Placek who are joined by Karen Daughtry and Darlene Nelson, the authors of My Helpful Healing Touch; A Guide for Empowering Children.

Quantum Science for Energy Healers: A Practical Guide

Instructor: Jeannette Nienaber, BSc., DipEd., ProfBacc., MEd., HTCP/I, ATP®

This course lays the groundwork and/or acts a refresher for a solid understanding of the basic scientific concepts used in modern science and energy medicine. The course begins with a review of what is meant by electricity, magnetism and electromagnetic induction. It then flows into the quantization of light energy and the development of the quantum model of the atom and its implications. Each concept is presented in an interesting and informative manner with demos and visuals used as much as possible to facilitate a solid understanding. Although mathematical formulae will be shown to support the coursework, their discussion will be primarily descriptive and serve as an anchor for discussion. The concepts are built upon each other in a cumulative manner, and when applicable, their relationships to Healing Touch techniques are described through stories and examples. This will empower the Healing Touch practitioner with the skills of explaining their work within a valid scientific context. Interwoven throughout this presentation will be the philosophical thinking associated with each concept and how new research forced scientists to find alternative ways of explaining what they observed in the laboratory. Famous scientists and their discoveries about light, sound, energy and the atom etc., will be also be integrated within a historical context and as a means of developing an understanding of the current philosophies and scientific research. The final session will examine how String Theory, Fractals, The Field and Entanglement impact our old ideas regarding the structure of the matter and the human body. This will then be extrapolated to provide supporting explanations for how Healing Touch can shift energy and transmute matter to promote healing, as well as, provide the balance and harmony we all desire to attain.

Become a Qualified Mentor! The HTP Mentor Training Course is a 9-week advanced practice Healing Touch Program course that enables any Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP) to become a “Qualified Mentor”. This course prepares HTCPs to mentor students of HTP through Healing Touch Level 5 graduation/completion and application for HTP Certification. Topics include: Utilizing the Mentor’s Tools, Conflict Resolution, Criteria 1-8 requirements for both Level 5 completion and Certification, essential elements of a case study, safe practice, transference and counter-transference, ethics and professionalism, mentor responsibilities, and more.

Join this simple yet profound seven week journey through the chakras. We will delve into one chakra per week - cleansing, clearing and honoring from the Root Chakra on up. In class we will meditate, learn about the function and dysfunction of each chakra and bring healing to it. You’ll gain an experiential understanding of each chakra and learn ways to further heal it and enhance it’s function. Going through the chakras intensively like this brings an opportunity for big shifts over the seven weeks of class. The short classes seem to energetically fill the time between them - informing your personal experiences and your work with clients.
